SLSU Staff Trained on GIS for Land Use Planning

SLSU Planning and Development Office personnel joined a two-day GIS training on May 23–24, 2024, at CHERM, Lucena City. The course covered GIS software use, data creation, and map generation for Land Use Development and Infrastructure Planning (LUDIP). Facilitated by CHERM staff, the training aimed to enhance GIS skills for improving the university’s LUDI Plan.

CHERM Strengthens Disaster Preparedness Through GeoRiskPH Training

The SLSU–CHERM joined the GeoRiskPH training by Infanta LDRRMO and DOST-PHIVOLCS to boost its disaster risk reduction skills. The team trained on HazardHunterPH, GeoMapperPH, and GeoAnalyticsPH, gaining tools and partnerships to better support LGUs in hazard mapping and disaster planning.
